Love You!

“Love yourself first and everything falls into line.” ~ Lucille Ball

Loving yourself begins with a conscious decision.  We do not just fall in love with ourselves, or stumble across self-love.  We make the decision to love ourselves, then we learn what that means for us, then we act.

Self-love means different things for each one of us.  Basically it means to take loving care of ourselves.  It means treating ourselves as we would our very best friend.  If you had a best friend exactly like you, what would you do for him/her right now?  Make a cup of tea, take a walk with them, turn on some music and dance with them?  What would you do for your best friend?  Do that for you.  Feed yourself healthy, nourishing food.  Give your body fun movement.  Sit in meditation and/or prayer to give yourself peace today.

Self-love is anything but selfish.  The more love we give ourselves, the more we have to give to others.  When we take loving care of ourselves, we also show others how to do it for themselves – that is a big gift.  When we love ourselves first – everything else falls into place.
