Let’s Play Today

Miss Maggie and I had lunch at the park a couple of weeks ago.  We enjoyed our meal and conversation.  She is 9 years old and a very old soul.  We talked about how bullies want to destroy peace because they do not feel good.

After we ate and cleaned up, she smiled big and said, “Let’s play!”  She was off and running.  Her mind just switched right into play mode.  She was alert, aware and living in the moment.  Her enthusiasm was amazing – and contagious.

What could I do but follow along?  Grab the moment and go play.  I encourage you to catch this enthusiasm and play today.

It doesn’t need to be on a playground – it can be dancing in your living room or riding your bike to the store.  Whatever it is that you love to do.  Play is very good for us.  It is a time to be fully in the moment and let everything else go.  Play is very refreshing.  Let’s play today!

  1. Loved that park! It made ME wanna go and play with you guys! When I was small there were a couple curly slides (what I called em back then) and now they are all over. When I grew up and had kids… I’d always look for the best slides! This place looks pretty top notch! 🙂

I love to hear from you!
