Be A Lifesaver

AvrilPicture 647

I have been helped in so many different ways, in so many different situations.  Sometimes help has come from very unexpected sources.  Sometimes it is little things and sometimes it is big help, but it is always amazing and I am always grateful.

There is always something you can do to help someone else.  Helping others feels wonderful when we do it without expectation of getting anything in return.  Being helpful is very helpful for us when we are not feeling so wonderful.  We think we are doing the giving, but in the end we understand that we are actually the ones who receive the real gifts.

Help someone in whatever way you can.  Call a friend who needs to talk.  Donate money to your favorite organization.  Bake a cake for your neighbor.  Offer to make dinner for an exhausted friend.  Whatever you are good at – offer that up to someone.

Being a lifesaver lifts spirits.  Including ours.  Try it today.
