Let Your Heart Melt

When we think back and realize that we did not handle something in the most positive and loving way, we can feel helpless, hopeless and even depressed.  We know there is nothing we can do to change it.  After we have apologized and made amends in whatever way we can – it is still there and sometimes we can still feel very bad about what we have done.

We are all human and we all have our moments that are not as loving and considerate as we can be.  All of us.  When we have done everything we know to do – it is time to forgive ourselves.  Even if the other person does not forgive us.  We can still forgive ourselves.

Recognize and accept that you have done all in your power to make things right – if you have not done everything you can, please do that first.  And realize that you are a human being – just like the rest of us.  You will make what you will consider to be mistakes throughout your journey here on earth.  It is a part of the human experience.  Have some compassion for yourself.  Haven’t you suffered enough already?

Let yourself off the hook.  Forgive yourself.  Let your heart melt.

  1. Wow……
This is like the perfect thing I had to read today!!!
I’ve been killing myself because of how I hurt one person and damaged our contact by doing so. I was also angry he never forgave me and I didn’t realize I haven’t forgiven myself!!
I’m following you now, you are amazing!

I love to hear from you!
