Occasionally I take a pause to honor the people who inspire me. This is one of those moments. We can all take time to express our gratitude for everything that the people we know and the love bring to our lives. It is a wonderful way to show them how much we care about them.
This is my beautiful friend, Osa Sjoberg. She is an amazing health and fitness instructor. Sunday is her birthday.
Osa is incredibly dedicated in her work and in her friendships. She has an unmatched passion for helping others be all they can be. She is inspirational in the way she never backs down from a challenge. She is a wonderful example of loving self-care.
People often look at her and think that she must have it really good. She’s gorgeous, talented and super intelligent. But Osa has been confronted with challenges this year. More challenges than anyone would be comfortable with. She does not always have it easy just because she is pretty. But people judge her anyway. And yet she handles it with grace and compassion.
We do not often think about who we judge and why. We do not just judge criminals who harm others – we judge people who have on nice clothes and who take time to be healthy. The next time you look at someone and think – Oh, they must have it easy – please take a moment. That person can very well be going through enormous challenges. We can choose to let go of our judgment and simply give everyone some love with a simple smile. It feels really good to let go of judgment.
Osa has not allowed the challenges that have shown up in her life to stop her. She has moved through everything. And through it all she continues to be an inspirational source of support and encouragement for her clients and her friends. She helps us all live healthier, more loving lives. I am deeply grateful for her friendship and her love.
