I have overwhelming moments of gratitude. I almost feel like pinching myself to make sure it is all real, but it is. My life is not “perfect” by any means. There are things I would love to see change. Big things and small things. But it is impossible for me not to be grateful for all the many blessings I have in my life right now.
Every single day I tap into my gratitude. I spend time focusing in on all of the gifts in my life. I have been doing this for many years. Sometimes I keep a gratitude journal and write down five things every day that I am thankful for. Right now it is more of a meditation. I focus in on my gratitude – even on my busiest days, even when I really do not feel like doing it.
One of the wonderful things that has come from this practice is that sometimes my gratitude spills over into my everyday life and I find myself overwhelmed with peace. It is a deep feeling of serenity – it is a profound trust in God/The Universe/Higher Power. It is blaringly apparent that I have been loved and supported through everything that has come up. And just as apparent that I always will be. There is always something to be grateful for.
Gratitude is a wonderful practice. I encourage you to tap into yours today and every day.
