Even if you do not feel that you have a green thumb, there are many plants you can grow with very little effort or know-how. Chives (above photo) is one of them. If you do not have a yard, you can grow plants and vegetables in containers. There is a lot of information about gardening online now.
There are so many benefits to having a garden. The one I enjoy the most is the peaceful, connected feeling I get when gardening. It is like a meditation for me. I also love to eat the fresh vegetables. I enjoy knowing that they were grown organically. Sharing them is great too.
Whether it is a potted plant for the desk or a garden bed in the backyard, green things help us breathe easier and be healthier.
