I was born on a Wednesday. The old story goes, Wednesday’s child is full of woe.
“Monday’s child is fair of face. Tuesday’s child is full of grace. Wednesday’s child is full of woe. Thursday’s child has far to go. Friday’s child works hard for a living. Saturday’s child is loving and giving. But the child who is born on the Sabbath day is fair and wise and good in every way.”
This is a very old nursery rhyme. It dates back to the 1800s. It’s a very old story. So why not rewrite it?
I’m not full of woe – and even when I am, I don’t have to be. So I can easily rewrite this old story. I’m full of WOW. Wednesday’s child is now full of WOW.
What old story do you have in your memories that can be rewritten into more of what you want to see in your life? Have you always been told that you are too sensitive? Rewrite it into – you have a beautiful, kind heart. Have you always been told that you are high strung? Rewrite it into – you have lots of energy to get the things done that you want to do. Have you been told that you are difficult? Rewrite it into – you know what you want and get it.
We can rewrite the old stories into helpful, positive affirmations now.
