When life feels a little overwhelming, sometimes the best thing to do is to give yourself a Time Out.

Take a break from everything for a few minutes (for toddlers, you add a minute for however old they are).  Take yourself out of the action.  Get quiet.  Take some deep breaths.  Just be there for a little while.

Once we calm down, we don’t feel so overwhelmed and it is easier to make good decisions.

It is important to regroup, refresh and recharge ourselves if we want to be at our best.
