There are three parts to us – our spirits, our minds and our bodies. We often put our bodies on hold when we are stressed or feeling rushed or overwhelmed. But taking care of ourselves can help us deal with stress so much better.
Moving our bodies is very important. We can think and think about something – but it will not get done until we actually get up and do it. Exercise helps us have more energy to do the things we want to do.
We can lose the excuses – not enough time, the weather is not cooperating – whatever our excuses are. They do not help us. Exercise does help us. We do not have to resist what feels good. It is okay to give ourselves loving, healthy experiences.
We can come up with creative solutions for any excuses our brains give us. We can dance around the house if it is too hot or cold outside. We can go for a walk in a mall or a store. There are DVDs with exercise programs that we can do.
Moving our bodies can improve our energy and our moods.
