How To Relax Deeply

Sometimes relaxing is not as easy as it sounds.  When we have a lot going on in our lives, it can be challenging to stop and take a rest.  But we heal when we rest and that is very important.  Without rest and relaxation, we are not rejuvenated and ready for the next project.  Without taking time to relax, we can run ourselves down and feel depleted.

When it is not so simple to slow down and relax, here are some steps you can take:

Decide that you want to relax.  Decide that it is important for your overall health, because it is.

Intend to relax.  Set an intention to relax.  “I intend to relax and renew.”

Make an affirmation about relaxing.  “I am relaxed.”  Repeat this like a mantra.

Use your affirmation when less than wonderful thoughts come up.  Release any less than loving thoughts.  It is okay to let it go.  It is okay to continue to let it go.  Be in the moment.  Let the past and the future be.

Breathe.  Just breathe for awhile.  In and out and repeat.  Be mindful of your breath.

Mindfully allow your body to relax.  Start with your toes and work your way up your body.  Relax all of your muscles.  Relax your mind.  Continue to let go of any less than loving thoughts.

Give yourself permission to relax.  Remember that it is a very loving thing you can do for yourself.

When we are relaxed, we are open to new inspiration.  When we are relaxed, we can easily find all of the things to be grateful for in our lives.  When we are relaxed, we are resetting and energizing ourselves.  Relaxing can be very productive.

  1. These tips are actually quite realistic, I always struggle to relax because I never know how to stop thinking and/or worrying about something l need to be doing. Thanks for this post💖
