When I was in 5th grade I joined the “Safety Patrol” at school. We wore a safety patrol jacket and even had a badge. It was a big deal.
It was our job to make sure the younger children made it across the street okay. We were trained to be helpers. We were trained to look out for others.
Let’s all be on safety patrol. Let’s all watch out for each other. Let’s look out for people who might need a little extra help. We really don’t need any special training to stand up and help one another. It still is a very big deal. Especially when we help others with kindness and compassion.
