Consider the thing that bothers you the most. Something that happened, something that someone said, something that someone did. Maybe something that you did or said. The thing that you have to do – or don’t get to do.
Now think about your life without that bother in it. Just consider it. How would you feel? What would you do? How would you act? What would it look like? Would it be a relief?
It’s okay to let go when there’s nothing else we can do about it. Sometimes we think we have to hold onto it – that people need to be held accountable, that we need to be held accountable. Or maybe that it was just too painful for us to be able to let go of. But if it has been bothering us for awhile and it’s getting in our way – it’s time to let it go.
When we hold onto the things that bother us too long, it can really get in our way of having the lives that we want to live. It’s okay to let it go.
