Treat Yourself

We often think of chocolates, flowers and indulgent things when we think about treating ourselves to something nice.  And those things are very nice – in moderation (giving ourselves a stomach ache is not treating ourselves), but there are so many ways we can treat ourselves in nourishing and fun ways.  When we treat ourselves we enhance our lives.

One of the best ways to treat ourselves to something nice is to have a laugh.  Think about the funniest thing that ever happened to you – or that you have ever heard or seen.  Just think about it for a minute.  Think about a funny person, look up some good jokes.  Watch a comedian on tv or watch a movie that you always find funny.  Keep going until you actually laugh out loud.

Laughter is so good for us.  It is wonderful for our physical body.  It lightens our thoughts and mood up.  And it helps our spirit to feel lighter, brighter – more clear.

The next time you think about treating yourself, remember that laughter is one of the best treats ever.
