Worry is a habit. It may feel automatic, but it is a habit. We have learned it from somewhere and we continue to teach it as long as we worry.
We think we can control things by worrying about them.
We think everything will fall apart if we do not worry about it.
Worry just gets us more of the same. And higher blood pressure, more stress and generally less pleasant personalities.
Worry will not solve problems. It is a cycle. We can step out of the cycle and choose to let it go. Just imagine your life for a minute – without worry. How would that change your attitude about life?
If there is something we can do about what we are worrying about, then by all means, let’s do it. If we can get a different perspective of the situation, that might help. If there is nothing we can do about it, we can choose to accept it and move past it. We do not have to stay stuck in worry.
