We’re all a little stressed these days. There is a lot to deal with right now. And stress can build up. It can affect our health and overall well-being.
It helps to know what calms you down. What do you find soothing? Music? A walk? A conversation with a friend? A shower? It can help to do something active like dancing or riding a bike.
Sometimes we just need to take our mind off of the stress. Especially when there is nothing we can do about it. It is really okay to let go of our problems and put our focus on the present moment. We can find more positive things to think about and just give it a rest.
The next time you start to feel the stress coming on, take a moment and redirect your attention. Find the things that calm you down. Get active. Think about something else. Give yourself a break.
